Here’s a new, very brief Parable that was inspired while doing a Bible study the other day.
Parable of The Cycle of Salvation
Adam and Eve were sinless and naked when they walked with God in the Garden of Eden. But then they sinned and hid their nakedness; as a result, they were separated from God and His Garden. Mankind lived for many generations, clothed in their sin, all the while striving to return to fellowship with God through being, saying, thinking and doing things that are “good enough.”
Jesus, who lived a sinless life, nevertheless took upon Himself the garments of the sin of the world. His garments were torn away, leaving Him naked. He was put to death—and He departed earth to be in fellowship with God. That loving sacrifice made it possible for all who followed His example to also join in that fellowship.
The example is clear—we must rid ourselves of our sinful garments, stand before God in our spiritual nakedness, accept the garments of forgiveness paid for by Jesus, and return to the fellowship He planned for us from the beginning of time. My question for you is, “Where are you in the cycle?”
